RE: Precious Metals Summit 2018

Greed Is Good, At Least For The Gold Mining Sector:

Guest(s): Derek Macpherson VP, Mining Analysis, Red Cloud Klondike Strike Inc.

A lack of investor sentiment in the gold space can be remedied with more greedy speculators, said Derek Macpherson, VP of Mining Analysis, Red Cloud Klondike Strike Inc.

"Greed comes from big share price performance, when you have exploration holes, and when stocks get taken out, and that's what gets people excited about junior mining," Macpherson told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek.

"People don't invest in junior mining to make 100% of their money, they do it for the opportunity to make 1000%," he added.

....you bet ya....:-))

Newmont Paid A Premium To Invest In This Junior, Here’s Why

Major Miners Are Hungry For Junior Acquisitions
Sep 25, 2018
Guest(s): Steve Todoruk Investment Executive, Sprott
The senior miners have largely recovered from the commodities bear market from a few years ago and now have the cash to be shopping for acquisitions, said Steve Todoruk, Investment Executive at Sprott.
“They want new deposits. They’d ideally want to make their own discovery, it’s a lot cheaper than having to go pay top dollar to take over a junior,” Todoruk told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek.
Todoruk said that juniors have found very few new deposits in the last five to eight years and so major miners have started to do more “desperate” things like financing juniors with early stage projects with maybe a “couple of drill holes at best

Guest: BRENT COOK of Exploration Insights.....(he used to cover Mariana Resources before it was Taken Over).

Colombia and NewCrest mentioned.....Hmmm (good interview).

Could NewCrest also be looking for a stake in OMI ?....speculation at this stage obviously, but NewCrest can always make a Superior offer for ANZA which NEWMONT will have to match if it were to happen....

Would be interesting.

IMHO. DYOR.

This was below 2p only 2 weeks ago and turned around from failure with Newmont funding. It’s far from a pump. World No2 gold producer Newmont funding Anza through to production the news is indisputable
